Leaf & Seasonal Yard Cleanup in DC, Bethesda & Northern Virginia

Leaves, fallen branches and winter debris come off the beds, patios, steps and walkways, so the property looks cared for in every season. We clear it, bag it or haul it away, and leave the edges crisp and the surfaces clean.

  • Always on time
  • Same-day, 24/7
  • Cleanup included

Leaf & Seasonal Yard Cleanup, done to our standard

A good seasonal cleanup is quiet, careful work: leaves lifted out of the beds without disturbing the plantings, debris cleared from patios, steps and walkways, and the edges left crisp. We do it in the fall and the spring, and in between when a storm or a gathering calls for it.

This is one-time and seasonal care, not weekly lawn service. For larger properties we can set up a short seasonal schedule, described below, so each cleanup arrives when the property needs it.

What's included

  • Leaf removal from beds, around shrubs, along lawn edges and across the front entry
  • Patios, terraces, steps and walkways cleared of leaves and debris
  • Fallen branches and storm debris gathered and cleared
  • Planting beds cleaned out, with perennials, bulbs and shrubs worked around carefully
  • Beds edged and, in the spring, finished with fresh mulch
  • Spent annuals cleared and seasonal planters refreshed on request (see planters and bed refresh)
  • Leaves and debris bagged for yard-waste pickup or hauled away (confirmed when we quote)
  • A final sweep of hard surfaces and the street frontage

Our standard

Our founder is a self-described perfectionist, so a cleanup gets the same attention as the rest of our work: beds raked out without scarring the mulch, surfaces swept, edges crisp. We arrive on time, protect your plantings and finishes, and walk the property with you at the end.

Seasonal care plan

A seasonal care plan for larger properties

Larger properties rarely need one cleanup; they need the right visit at the right time. On request, we agree a simple schedule ahead of time, with one point of contact.

  1. 1

    Early spring

Winter debris cleared, beds cleaned out and edged, fresh mulch laid and planters refreshed.

  2. 2

    Late spring and summer

Light touch-ups before events or listings: weeding, shrub and hedge shaping, a mulch top-up.

  3. 3

    Fall

Leaf cleanup in as many visits as the trees require, with planters swapped for the season.

  4. 4

    Early winter

Holiday lighting installed, outdoor furniture put away, and takedown scheduled for after the season.

Pair it with holiday lighting and water-only pressure washing. Estates and house managers can read about standing service.

What we do and don't do

A clear scope, plainly stated

We keep to the work we do exceptionally well, and refer the rest.

What we do

Leaf and debris cleanup, bed cleanouts, edging and mulch, shrub and hedge trimming, seasonal planters, and water-only pressure washing of patios, walkways and steps.

What we leave to specialists

We don't do pavers or hardscaping, in-ground irrigation, lawn fertilizer or pesticide and weed-spray applications, or trees over 20 feet, and we don't offer weekly lawn mowing. We refer these to licensed specialists.

Questions

Leaf & Seasonal Yard Cleanup FAQ

Do you offer fall leaf cleanup in Bethesda, Potomac and McLean?

Yes. We clear leaves from beds, lawn edges, patios, steps and walkways across Bethesda, Potomac, Great Falls, McLean and Washington, DC, in one visit or in repeat visits as the leaves come down.

When should I schedule a leaf cleanup?

Timing depends on the trees. Wooded lots often need repeat visits through October and November, while a lighter canopy may need one. Send a photo and we'll suggest a rhythm when we quote.

What happens to the leaves and debris?

We can bag them for yard-waste pickup or haul them away. We'll confirm which when we quote, since collection rules differ from one town to the next.

Do you do spring cleanup?

Yes. A spring cleanup clears winter debris, cleans out and edges the beds and, if you'd like, finishes them with fresh mulch. Seasonal planters can be refreshed in the same visit.

Do you mow, fertilize or treat lawns?

No. We offer one-time and seasonal cleanups rather than weekly lawn service, and we don't apply lawn fertilizer, pesticides or weed spray. We're glad to refer you to licensed specialists for those.

Can you cut back trees or large limbs?

We trim shrubs and hedges and gather fallen branches. Trees over 20 feet are outside our scope, and we'll refer you to a licensed specialist.

Can you set up a seasonal plan for a larger property?

Yes. For larger properties and estates we can agree a simple schedule ahead of time: an early spring cleanup, light touch-ups before events, fall leaf visits and an early winter visit. See the seasonal care plan above, or ask about house manager arrangements on our estates page.
