  • Same-day, 24/7
  • Cleanup included

Drywall & Plaster Repair, done to our standard

From anchor holes left by a previous owner to doorknob dents and the aftermath of a plumbing repair, our drywall repair service is built around one goal: an invisible finish. We feather the compound well past the damage, sand it flat, prime so the paint doesn't flash, and blend the color and sheen.

Older homes in Bethesda, Chevy Chase and Potomac often have plaster walls. Plaster repair is its own craft, and we treat it that way.

What's included

  • Damage assessment and the right repair method for the size of the hole
  • Mesh, backing or California patches for larger holes
  • Feathered compound, sanded smooth with dust control
  • Texture matching where walls aren't smooth
  • Primer, then paint matched to your color and sheen
  • Plastic sheeting and floor protection, plus cleanup when we're done

Our standard

Our founder is a self-described perfectionist, and every drywall & plaster repair job is held to his standard: measured twice, laser-leveled where it matters, finished cleanly, and reviewed with you in a final walkthrough. We arrive on time, protect your floors and finishes, and leave no dust behind.

Common jobs

Drywall hole repair, plaster repair and more

Nail, screw and anchor holes

The leftovers from old TVs, shelves and art, filled and finished so the wall looks untouched.

Doorknob holes and dents

Larger holes get a backed patch so they're solid, not just filled, plus a door stop so it doesn't happen again.

Plaster cracks and failing plaster

Hairline cracks, loose plaster and old patches stabilized and refinished so the repair doesn't telegraph through the paint.

Openings after plumbing or electrical work

Access holes cut by other trades, closed up and finished to match, once the underlying issue has been fixed.

Water-stain repair

Once the leak is resolved, we cut out damaged material if needed, then repair, seal stains so they don't bleed through, and paint.

Pre-listing patch-and-paint

Every scuff and hole addressed before photos and showings. See our realtor services.

Questions

Drywall & Plaster Repair FAQ

Do you do drywall repair near me for small holes and patches?

Yes. Small drywall patch repairs are some of our most common jobs in Bethesda, Silver Spring and DC. We patch, sand, prime and color-match, often the same day.

Will I be able to see the patch?

Our standard is that you can't. That means feathering wide, sanding flat, priming and matching the sheen as well as the color. If you have leftover paint, have it ready. If not, we can match it.

Can you repair plaster walls?

Yes. Plaster needs different materials and techniques than drywall, especially for cracks and loose areas. We stabilize first so the repair lasts.

Is drywall repair messy?

Sanding creates dust, so we contain it with sheeting, sand carefully, protect floors and clean up fully before we leave.

How long does a patch take?

Small holes are often finished in one visit. Larger repairs can need drying time between coats. We'll tell you up front if a second visit is needed and book it around your schedule.

My home was built before 1978. Does that matter?

It can, because older paint may contain lead. Let us know when you book so we can plan the right approach before any sanding.
